トミーカイラ M20 エンブレムのクリーニングを行いました。
新品では文字以外の部分は黒く塗装をされていたそうですが、長い時を経て1色になっていました。当時のものを使うというオーナー様のご意向の元、全て鏡面にするのではなく背景と文字のコントラストを出した仕上げを行いました。

当時のものを復活させること、レストアとは異なるディティーリングの本質が垣間見れる作業でした。

TOMMYKAIRA M20 emblems were cleaned.
When new, the parts other than the letters had been painted black, but after a long time, they had become one color. The owner's intention was to use the original emblems from that time, so we finished the emblems with a contrast between the background and the letters, instead of making them all mirror-finished.
